Inmaculada C. Alvarez is Associate Professor of Economics at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid since 2011. She received her B.A. in Economics in 1994 from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, Spain, a MSc. in European Economics from Institute Ortega y Gasset, and holds a PhD in Quantitative Economics from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, 2003. Her basic research fields are the role of transport infrastructure on aggregate productivity and efficiency, development and growth, along with quantitative methods. Javier Barbero: Economic Analyst at European Commission Directorate-General Joint Research Centre (JRC)
Javier Barbero is Ph.D. in Economics by the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Spain. He was awarded the best academic record in undergraduate studies for year 2009/2010. He holds MSc. in International Economic from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in 2012. He received a scholarship from the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation also in 2012. His research fields are Economic Theory, Spatial Economics, New Economic Geography, Location Theory, Regional and Urban Economics, Econometrics, Networks, Computational Economics. Jose Luís Zofío: Professor of Economics at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid
José L. Zofío is Professor of Economics since 2014. He received his PhD in Economics from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in 2000. His research fields of interest are Industrial Organization (Competition Policy and Regulation), Productivity and Efficiency (Stochastic Frontier Analysis and Data Envelopment Analysis), Spatial Economics (New Trade Theory and New Economic Geography), Environmental Economics and Copyright Industries. He has published many articles in international journals, and led several research projects related to the above fields. He is also consultant to the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
